NORTHSOUND PHYSICAL THERAPY
Project Description
Location: Stanwood, Washington
Project Size: 12,000 sf
Architect: Pelletier + Schaar
Facility Type: Physical Therapy Clinic
Because of Fisher’s ‘can do’ attitude, the owners of NorthSound Physical Therapy and their architects, Pelletier + Schaar, selected them as the contractor of their new professional center in Stanwood, WA. This 12,000 sq. ft. center would become its flagship store and administration center.
The building envelope consists of a concrete foundation and floor slab with wood framed walls and roof. The interior of the building includes a second floor office area and first floor clinic, which is made up of exam rooms, treatment area, reception, changing room, exercise area, document room and a manager’s office. To create a pleasant, cheerful environment for patients and staff, upgrade finishes, varying wall colors within rooms, and up-scale lighting were used. The facility also has lease space available for future tenants.
Fisher was challenged to meet specific zoning and building codes and environmental restrictions, as well as to construct the center on a small site, which also had to accommodate parking, underground water retention, bio-swale and landscaping. All of these elements were designed above city standards.
